Founding of the company

What once started with the production of steering wheels made of natural wood expanded to include the manufacture of belt lines, centre consoles, dashboards and door linings. Novem grew and expanded. First, European locations opened in the Czech Republic and Italy, followed by overseas locations in Honduras, Mexico and China. As a supplier of wood trim elements, Novem has always been determined to take advantage of its business opportunities, developing into a world leader in the manufacture of exquisite high-end products for car interiors. We at Novem are encouraged to continue on this successful path between tradition and progress by winning the BMW Innovation Award, Daimler Supplier Award, GM Supplier Quality Excellence Award, Hyundai Supplier of the Year Award and a number of other prizes. It is precisely this combination of traditional quality and innovation that has positioned the Novem Group to become the worldwide leading manufacturer of high-quality trim elements and decorative function elements. In our design centre, “Novem Interior World”, we also work on ideas for new and sustainable surfaces. Novem has partnered with Bregal Unternehmenskapital as a majority shareholder since 2011 to work towards a successful future.
