    High-performance management

    Markus Wittmann (CEO), Benjamin Retzer (CFO) and Florian Sandner (COO) are responsible for managing the company. Together with approximately 4,500 employees, this experienced and proven management team continuously drives advancement, growth and innovation at Novem.

    Markus Wittmann

    Chief Executive Officer

    Markus Wittmann was appointed as Chief Executive Officer of the Group in 2023. He has held several management positions at Novem, including responsibility for global quality management. From 2015 to 2019, he acted as Vice President Operations. Recently, he has been responsible for technology. 

    Mr. Wittmann holds a degree as a state-certified chemical engineer from the Technical College Düsseldorf, Germany.

    Benjamin Retzer

    Chief Financial Officer

    Benjamin Retzer was appointed as Chief Financial Officer of the Group in 2024. He has performed various finance roles at Novem since 2014, most recently, he was Vice President Accounting and Tax. Prior to that, he worked as Director General Accounting at Vishay Intertechnology and Assistant Audit Manager at KPMG. 

    Mr. Retzer holds a master's degree in Business Administration from the Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg, Germany.

    Florian Sandner

    Chief Operation Officer

    Florian Sandner was appointed as Chief Operation Officer of the Group in 2024. He has worked for Novem since 2011 in several international management functions, among others, as Plant Manager of the Group’s largest production facility in Querétaro, Mexico. As Vice President Operations Americas, he was most recently in charge of the entire region. 

    Mr. Sandner holds a master's degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Applied Sciences Darmstadt, Germany.
